Denmark

Cities to visit, places to discover and sightseeing destinations to enjoy.

Just like its Scandinavian neighbors, Denmark might seem an expensive tourist destination. Consisting of the Jutland peninsula and an archipelago of over 400 islands, Denmark is mostly flat with arable land and sandy coasts. Denmark is one of the most socially progressive cultures in the world, allowing same-sex marriages to be performed in the Church of Denmark, and also being the first country to legalize pornography. As a child, I had a Tivoli themed Danish cookies tin, where afterwards my grandmother kept her sewing kits. So visiting Tivoli was a childhood dream come true. It’s well worth visiting, especially at Christmas, because it’s a truly magical experience for people any age or background.

Aarhus

An overnight stopover in Aarhus

Aarhus (Århus) is the second-largest city in Denmark; it’s located on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula, in the geographical centre of Denmark. Aarhus is a student city and hence it has a young and fresh vibe to it. On the other hand, it also offers great architectural artworks and easily competes with bigger cities in sightseeing options.

About

I created this web page to share my photos mainly, but I will try also to say a few words about the experiences that helped create them and the memories related to these photos.
